El secretario del Departamento de Seguridad Nacional (DHS), Markwayne Mullin, arremetió de forma enérgica contra las políticas santuario implementadas en Carolina del Norte
El funcionario federal denunció que estas administraciones locales se niegan sistemáticamente a acatar y respetar las órdenes oficiales de detención emitidas por el Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas (ICE), acusándolas de liberar y regresar a las calles a criminales de alta peligrosidad. Ante esta situación, el DHS reafirmó su compromiso absoluto de seguir implementando medidas para salvaguardar el orden y proteger el bienestar de la ciudadanía.
